This incident is resolved. Between Sep 24 and Sep 25, a failing drive in one of our storage systems caused slow loading and intermittent timeouts for images, previews and downloads on some Product Approvals, Rights Management and DAM sites. The drive has been replaced and performance has been stable since 9:06PM UTC Sep 25th. ET. We're sorry for the disruption.

Identified
We've found the cause of the intermittent slowness when loading images, previews and file downloads. A failing drive in one of our storage systems was slowing down file access. Our data center team is replacing the drive. The system is built with redundancy, so customer files stay available and protected during the replacement. Some slowness may continue until the work is done.

Update
The team is still actively investigating the issue. Attachments are still intermittently taking longer than average time to load.

Investigating
We've made changes to how our servers connect to file storage. Performance is better than this morning, but some sites still see slow image previews, thumbnails and file downloads. Sites that store files in our cloud storage aren't affected.
